Rolls Royce
I was excited to work on the promotion film for Rolls Royce at the end of 2014, shooting the ‘Phantom Drophead Coupé Nighthawk Limited Edition’. It was challenging because of car availability, we had to shoot the interior shots in the studio first, with lighting that had to match as yet un-shot exterior footage. At a later date we found a great location in Paddington and managed to shoot the exteriors in a matter of hours using only the available light – and the finished film married the two aspects beautifully.
We shot the Rolls Royce Ghost Series II promo film in December, on location in Notting Hill. It was an interesting concept, using projected moving images to light the car, giving the impression that the car is dreaming of being on the open road, while alone in the garage and alone from any human presence. The images illustrated the new technical developments and safety features: seeing around corners, infrared vision etc. while parked in a darkened garage. The car is yet to be released.
